We offer three different musical avenues for you to choose from to move forward with your musical future.
My name is Leo Monteiro de Barros and I've been playing the piano and guitar for over 30 years. I have 15 years’ experience teaching children in Primary and Secondary schools, working as a classroom music teacher. I've also been teaching Piano, Keyboard, guitar and ukulele individually for the past 10 years both in person and online. I have also begun teaching drums to beginners.
To support the lessons, I have video recordings on YouTube of most of the pieces I teach. This is a link for my YouTube channel. This particularly helps beginners practice at home between lessons. I offer face to face lessons in my flat in Notting Hill, but I also offer online lessons as well as correspondence tuition.
This involves a pupil records what they learn, send it to me and I email back suggesting ways to improve the playing of the pieces. I teach classical, jazz and rock and pop piano up to Grade 8. I teach guitar up to Grade 5.
I can also help with music theory, songwriting and music production with Presonus. If you need support with GCSE Music, as I have experience in this area, I can assist here too. I take pupils through exams with the Trinity (my preference) and ABRSM boards but exams are certainly not the be all and end all of learning an instrument. Some pupils learn to play just for fun and never take an exam!
Online lessons £45 per hour, £25 per half hour. Lessons in the studio £50 per hour, £30 per half hour.
